The Colorado Press Association‘s Hall of Fame Award honors someone who has made significant contributions to Colorado journalism within their communities, regions or state, the Colorado media industry, the promotion of freedom of the press, freedom of speech, open meetings and/or freedom of information in Colorado. Nominees can be retired or still working in the field.
Nominations are submitted by members of the Colorado News Media Community and members of the Colorado Press Association. Recipients will be selected by the Hall of Fame Committee, composed of the 5 most recent CPA past presidents and chaired by the most recent past president. The committee may select up to 3 recipients for the Hall of Fame award.
Nomination package should include:
– Nomination summary that explains why the nominee deserves the award.
– Include a summary of the nominee’s career accomplishments.
– If applicable, any additional supporting documentation to assist the board of directors in making a decision.
The deadline for nominations is March 15th and winners will be announced at the Colorado Press Association Annual Convention on August 23, 2024!
