During the February Wolzien Lecture at the University of Denver, Laura Frank floated an idea — that connecting students, mentors and local newsrooms could help reimagine how local news works.

Now that idea has a name — MATCH Lab (Media, Academia and Talent Collaborating to Help), and the results are exceeding expectations. Students are teaming up with Colorado news outlets to solve real challenges in reporting, revenue and community connection. And it’s working!
