The next Data Journalism Bootcamp takes place August 8-12 in Columbia, Missouri, and there are fellowships available to cover the cost of attending.
Fellowships provide:
One-year IRE membership or renewal ($70 value)
Complimentary bootcamp registration (up to $1,100 value)
Travel stipend ($500-1,000, depending on the fellowship)
Application deadline is May 9 for all Data Journalism Bootcamp fellowships.
TV and Radio Journalists
The Holly Whisehunt Stephen Fellowships support TV and radio journalists. Students are not eligible.
Journalists and Educators of Color
Ottaway Fellowships support journalists and educators of color. Students are not eligible.
Journalists Serving Rural Audiences
R-CAR Fellowships support U.S. professional journalists working for small news organizations with a significant rural audience and demonstrated rural readership.
