CMP Advancing Equity in Local News: Grant Opportunity Info Session

Come join us for an information session on the second round of grants offered through Colorado Media Project’s Advancing Equity in Local News program.

The Advancing Equity in Local News grant will support projects that address one or more of these three priorities:
Support internal diversity, equity and inclusion capacity-building efforts in Colorado newsrooms
Strengthen connections and build trust between Colorado newsrooms and the diverse communities they serve
Support more diverse and inclusive civic news leadership, entrepreneurship, ownership and narratives

We expect a total of at least $250,000 will be available for the second round of grants, and the total grant amount per project may range between $5,000 and $25,000, with potential for more funding for projects that involve multiple partners and/or deliver more impact.

The application deadline for both of these grant opportunities is December 1, 2022 . All applicants must be Colorado-based and/or primarily serve Colorado audiences.

At the information session, you’ll hear more about grant priorities and the proposal process, and get all of your other questions answered.

The Community News Network is supported by The Colorado Trust, and support for Advancing Equity in Local News comes from The Colorado Trust, Democracy Fund, The Colorado Health Foundation, Gates Family Foundation and Rose Community Foundation.

Zoom details will be made available upon registration.
