Don’t let price deter you from attending IRE’s Data Journalism Bootcamp! Fellowships are available for journalists and educators of color, and provide: one-year IRE membership/renewal ($70 value); complimentary bootcamp registration (up to $1,100 value); travel stipend ($1,000).
The application deadline for fellowships is February 6, 2022.
About IRE’S Data Journalism Bootcamp:
IRE’s Data Journalism Bootcamp provides a broad foundation in data skills for anyone with beginner to intermediate skills. Skills you’ll learn include: spreadsheets, SQL, data cleaning, finding data sources, using public records and bulletproofing your analysis.
This bootcamp will be offered in-person at the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO and runs Monday-Thursday from 9am-5pm (CT) and from 9am – noon on Friday. Optional open labs will be available Monday-Thursday after class with two optional group dinners during the week.
IRE will be closely monitoring CDC recommendations. All attendees must be vaccinated to attend and must accept IRE’s COVID safety protocol as part of your registration.
