JAWS + Women Do News Wikepedia edit-a-thon: write admired women journalists into history

Women journalists are underrepresented on Wikipedia, one of the most-visited English language websites in the world. This leads to issues related to safety, credibility, and recognition and income. Women Do News is dedicated to elevating the voices and profiles of women journalists online. We want your help to write women like Betsy Wade, Juleyka Lantigua-Williams and Lisa Song into popular digital history.

Women Do News will hold a 20-minute presentation on how to volunteer and add articles on to Wikipedia, followed by a 40-minute edit-a-thon where we will guide, edit, and help prospective volunteers post articles on to Wikipedia. Join the webinar on January 27th from 5:00 p.m. MT through 6:00 p.m. MT.
