Polly Baca and Nita Gonzales will be in conversation with COLab’s Tina Griego to discuss how historical narratives presented and amplified by news media impact current realities around ownership of story and narrative for Latinx communities in Colorado.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to explore questions in breakout groups about what structural shifts and supports are necessary to usher in a future for local news and media that is in support of the needs and desires of Latinx Coloradans.
