This online mini-bootcamp offered April 17-20, will dive deep into the fundamentals of data visualization for the web. The training will focus on free, template-ready tools. Registrants will learn the concepts behind dataviz, how to choose the best graphs for each type of information and how to create different visual pieces. We will also facilitate conversations around ethics, bias and accessibility. No coding is required.
Prior to the bootcamp, attendees will receive instructions on setting up the necessary accounts and information on accessing the course materials and live videos. Sessions will be taught through Zoom.
Attendees will receive:
Live instruction from the IRE training team, including video demonstrations, hands-on activities, and small-group activities
Support to continue the work on their own
The ability to schedule one on one help from the trainers during specified hours on the days of the training
Ongoing access to all videos recorded during the bootcamp, plus additional material for practicing on their own
