Immigration in Colorado

An continuing conversation

About this Collaboration

Immigration was one of the top concerns identified by more than 7,000 Coloradans who took part in COLab’s statewide Voter Voices surveys ahead of the 2024 elections — and it remains one of the most complex issues facing the state. In response, COLab and its news partners are following up, reaching back to participants and new voices alike to explore how national policies are shaping lives and communities here in Colorado.

This collection features reporting from across the state, examining immigration — not just as a political issue but as a deeply local one — reflected in workplaces, schools, neighborhoods and family life. It is part of COLab’s ongoing effort to help newsrooms listen more deeply, report more collaboratively and reflect the full range of Coloradans’ experiences.
