The application deadline for the Maynard 200 Fellowship program has been extended until Monday, April 10 by 11:59 PM (PDT). This will be the only deadline extension!
Maynard 200 is the cornerstone program in the Maynard Institute’s efforts to expand the diversity pipeline in news media and dismantle structural racism in newsrooms. Since 2018, the Maynard Institute has trained over 140 media leaders, storytellers, and entrepreneurs through the program.
Some Maynard 200 program updates this year include more collaboration with fellows across curriculum tracks, new host venue Bob Schieffer School of Communication at TCU, media entrepreneur curriculum expanded for product developers, and more.
The 2023 program will be held in-person during the week of June 26th at Bob Schieffer College of Communication at Texas Christian University (TCU) in Fort Worth, Texas. Maynard 200 fellows will benefit from tuition-free training and mentorship, plus lodging and travel expenses will be covered by the Maynard Institute.
The program will continue throughout the summer with a series of virtual webinars. A second week of in-person training will be held the week of October 23rd. Fellows will then be paired with veterans and experts in relevant disciplines to receive one-on-one mentorship for a full year through October 2024.
The application deadline has been extended, and applications are now due by April 10 2023. Learn more about the program and start your application today!
