Apply now for ProPublica’s Local Reporting Network.

The Local Reporting Network gives reporters the opportunity to investigate wrongdoing in their communities through a one-year partnership with ProPublica. If your organization is selected, ProPublica will pay a full-time reporter’s salary (up to $75,000 + a benefits allowance) and provide editorial support and opportunities to collaborate with ProPublica’s design, data, research, and other teams. Together your organization and ProPublica will publish outstanding local investigations also of interest to national audiences.

.Applications are now open for three spots; you can read the details and find the application form online. The deadline for these applications is Feb. 16; the program will start on April 1. You can check out the “How to Apply” section here, which includes FAQs about proposals and the program.

The following categories of newsrooms are eligible to apply:
Local nonprofit journalism outlets that are members of the Institute for Nonprofit News
News organizations (nonprofit or for-profit) in communities supported by Knight Foundation programs — Boulder, Colorado
Public media organizations
