This bootcamp will be offered in-person at the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO. The bootcamp runs Monday, August 8 through Thursday, August 11 from 9am-5pm (CT) and from 9am – noon on Friday, August 12. Optional open labs will be available Monday-Thursday after class with two optional group dinners during the week.
IRE’s Data Journalism Bootcamp provides a broad foundation in data skills for anyone with beginner to intermediate skills, starting with basic spreadsheets and building into SQL, which can help you analyze millions of records. The bootcamp will also cover data cleaning, finding data sources, using public records and bulletproofing your analysis.
IRE will be closely monitoring CDC recommendations. All attendees must be vaccinated to attend and must accept IRE’s COVID safety protocol as part of your registration.
