The Colorado Press Association‘s News Leader Award recognizes public service work that reflects compassion, courage, humanity and a deep concern for a community. Recipients will be awarded for outstanding vision, dedication, and commitment. This can be awarded to individuals or a team of reporters, editors, news directors, columnists, editorial writers, photographers, videographers and graphic artists.
Nomination Guidelines:
The nominee must actively lead and positively influence the newspaper or online news industry at the state and/or national level.
Nomination package should include:
Nomination summary that explains why the nominee deserves the award.
Include a summary of the nominee’s accomplishments and impact.
If applicable, any additional supporting documentation to assist the board of directors in making a decision.
The deadline for nominations is March 15th and winners will be announced at the Colorado Press Association Annual Convention on August 23, 2024!
