Lenfest’s News Philanthropy Network: Corporate Giving Strategies

Join The Lenfest Institute’s News Philanthropy Network on Thursday, Feb. 1, 2024 at 1 p.m. MT for a virtual conversation on corporate giving strategies with Johanna Derlega, the founder of Beech Strategies and previously the chief revenue officer of The 19th.

The event is free to all members of the News Philanthropy Network. You can register and join the Network here

Johanna has spent the past year re-imagining The 19th’s corporate support strategy, and she will share insights into her process and how she is using user-centered design strategies to create a product that meets the needs of the publication’s corporate supporters as well as The 19th.

To help others pursue similar corporate giving strategies, Johanna has created The Corporate Giving Workbook, a soon-to-be-published step-by-step guide that empowers news fundraisers to utilize design thinking to create products that businesses will want to support.

Register for the workshop to get first access to the Workbook when it launches in late January.

Johanna will share an overview of the processes outlined in the Workbook and discuss how she is implementing them at The 19th.
