This intensive workshop teaches journalists how to use data, design and code. For 2021, the Data Institute will take place online, over one week of live, intensive instruction, Monday, July 12 to Friday, July 16. The application is open till May 24.
The Data Institute is completely free to attend. Additionally, there are a limited number of need-based stipends to help those who may otherwise not be able to attend. Requests for stipends are part of the application.
The Data Institute is a collaboration between The Ida B. Wells Society for Investigative Reporting, ProPublica, and OpenNews.
